Hard to Begin (© 1989) is a collection of 19 songs all of which were written during my residency in Pullman WA between September 1982 and January 1987, with one exception. The song "My Best Friend" was written in 1970 for a camp counselor who in hindsight was the first woman I ever loved long before I realized or acknowledged my sexual preference for women.
